Who we are
Studio Locater ("we", "us", "our") is a directory of yoga, pilates, and wellness studios across the United States, available at studiolocater.com. We help people discover and connect with fitness studios near them.
Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to provide our service:
- Email address — when you sign up for blog updates or create an account. We use this to send you content you asked for and to manage your account.
- Favorites — studios you save are stored against your account so you can access them across devices.
- Usage data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider. We use this to understand how the site is used and to diagnose issues.
We do not collect payment information, health data, or any sensitive personal information.
How we use your information
- To send blog update emails you opted into (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To save your favorite studios and keep your account working
- To improve the site and fix bugs
- To respond to messages you send us
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Email communications
If you sign up for blog updates, we'll email you when new articles are published. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also remove yourself at any time by visiting studiolocater.com/unsubscribe or emailing us directly.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate the site:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and database infrastructure
- Sanity — content management for studio listings
- Google (Gmail API) — sending transactional emails from our account
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in via your Google account
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their handling of data.
Data retention
We keep your account and associated data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us and we'll remove it promptly.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Unsubscribe from all emails at any time
Children's privacy
Studio Locater is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
